I moved back to Milwaukee in September but have been too busy to post the latest paintings. I had 2 opportunities to do Plein Aire with James Hempel. These were fun!!

Hempel Workshop - Day 3

Beautiful weather!! Two panels were done at the point of 'Peace and Plenty' home of Emmett Peck. One is an early dusk painting from my deck. The last was a nocturne of another model with a lantern. (I cut out the model before the lantern when out!!)

Hempel Workshop - Day 2

We started the day at Lake of the Falls but my painting is not worth posting....bad value issues!
These include a cloud study, moonrise and campfire (with a model toasting a marshmellow) nocturn...quite the challenge!!
