We arrived in Hattiesburg, MS to visit the Armed Forces Museum which was located on the army base, Camp Shelby. They had artifacts from all the wars up to present day with a focus on the involvement of Mississippi in particular.
We drove south heading for the coastline of the Gulf. In Biloxi, we took a tour of the Jefferson Davis home which was just refurbished after major damage due to Hurricane Katrina. Many of the outbuildings had not been rebuilt yet.
